Any of you guys that don?t have a ?normal? life, in terms of where society expects you to be. How do (by Sparky)
Any of you guys that don?t have a ?normal? life, in terms of where society expects you to be. How do people respond to your lifestyle? Or for those guys with ?normal? lives, how do you view the former?
What I mean by that is, at least in the western world a normal course in life would be - build a career, get married, have a few kids, house in the suburbs, eventually retire, grandkids. (Very oversimplified but I?m sure you know what I mean).
So if you stray away from those common norms, what is it that makes you different? And how does your family, friends or peers feel about that?
If your life looks like that first paragraph, how do you view men that don?t subscribe to those norms?
Edit: for reference I?m kind of at a crossroads in my life at 31, I?m single with a decent paying 9-5 that could comfortably be my career but it drains my soul, I don?t have much issues dating but i enjoy my bachelorhood and solitude as well. I have a dream to open a martial arts gym overseas by the time I?m in my mid 30?s (long story, happy to elaborate if anyone wants) but it would require foregoing the typical expected life for the time being at least, I personally don?t mind but I have a tendency to worry what others think sometimes. Good to see all the various answers! You?ve given me motivation.
