Andres would you please confirm the proper way to verify a picture. I have seen a few users trying to verify their pictures, they have the correct code but it is not hand written and I am confussed if this is allowed to be verified or not. I have been clicking the "Something is Wrong" am I right or wrong for handling them this way? So if you could give me a refresher course of how to verify a photo properly I would appreciate it. Thank you

You are absolutely correct in NOT verifying codes that are NOT hand-written. In fact, almost ALL cases where a code is NOT hand-written are done by scammers using Photoshop to edit and verify a fake pic. I've clarified this in the rules on the Verify Pics page.

That said, there are cases where scammers hand-write the code on a piece of paper, scan it into their computers, and then cut and paste that into a fake pic holding a piece of paper. Aleksandra and I detect all of those from having verified thousands of pics, but the community sometimes doesn't, so be aware of that.

At some point, we will probably have to add yet another set of instructions to the Verification process (e.g. holding the paper a certain way) to minimize that.

A good rule of thumb is, if you're not 100% convinced or if something doesn't "feel" right, either vote "No" or "I can't tell". You should only be voting "Yes" on the pics you are 100% convinced about and that follow all the instructions perfectly. You will never be punished for incorrectly voting "No" or "I can't tell" on a pic that was actually correct and ended up getting approved, so always err on the side of caution.

I always click no something isn't right to the pictures like that. They just don't look legit.

My buddy seen one yesterday and i explained how to tell it was a fake. It was CLEARLY done on a computer and pasted to the book the female was holding

I've seen a lot of those nowadays, on a few you can actually see how they failed editing it using Paint. Somehow they often also use the same picture/girl
