Boyfriend (M23) ditched me (F22) on date night

Hi Dating.mobi, this happened last week and I?m still a little mad about it so I thought I?d come here to ask for advice.
I work part time and study full time at university while my boyfriend does trade work. We?ve been dating for ~4 months. I see him every Friday night for our ?date? night and sporadically during the week. Last Friday we went out for a casual dinner, so I parked my car at his house and then he drove us to the restaurant, and I planned to then stay the night at his.
Near the end of dinner he was texting his mates who invited him out to play pool with them- he asks if it?s cool and I express that we already had a plan for the night. He got upset and said we see each other all the time (I genuinely think he sees his friends more than me!) and said that I was being controlling. We argued all the way out to his car where I say that my car is at his house. He told me to take an Uber and that I was making things difficult. I gave in and he left like right away, didn?t even wait for my Uber to come. I felt so weird about going back to his house alone (where his family lives) and just...getting in my car and going home. He didn?t text me til later and it was only to say goodnight.
Was I in the wrong here? I feel like I?m overly upset about something small but this is kinda my first real ?adult? relationship and I feel a bit worthless now, like I don?t really matter to him as much as I thought. How do I tell him this ?
TL;DR: had plans to get dinner and stay over at my boyfriend?s house, but he decided to go out with friends instead, making me find my own way home.
