Women who have placed their child for adoption, what was your experience like?
It's been 20 months since I placed my baby in her forever home, and while I almost always feel positively about my decision, some days (like today) are very hard for me. It can be very isolating being a birth mother, so I'd love to hear about other women's experiences :)

I have a woman who I do some work for that has a granddaughter who, with her husband, have adopted 2 kids from the same woman. What's weird, to me anyway, is that this woman had 3 other kids she decided to keep. And the 2 she put up for adoption weren't the first 2 or last 2....they were in between her other kids. Just odd to me.
But whatever, the adopted 2 have great lives.

@MrWalkSoftly: I have a relative who had 7 kids... oldest two went to her mom, the next two (twins) were adopted out. She kept the last three until she passed away (drug overdoes)
I gave up my first child to my Aunt and Uncle who were on an adoption waiting list. I tried to keep her..slept in the high school bleacher bandstand with her, and we both got sick:( She was a month old when I decided to give her a chance in life. Its the best decision I could've made. She's been in touch with me since she was 13..knows the children I had later as siblings, and is a well adjusted woman:) I feel blessed that I got to see her throughout the years..I think I would have been even more depressed about it, had I not, and had I not had the kids I raised. I know that experience is 99 percent of why I fought so hard to raise them right..I could never go through that again.
