Do I need a Xbox live account to play Skyrim add ons? (by MikeN2014)
Hopefully there are some fellow gamers that can help me out here. I just recently purchased the legendary edition of Skyrim. It has the: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn add ons on disc 2. I went to install them from disc 2 and they all successfully downloaded. Then I go to put in the Skyrim disc get to the main menu and select "add ons" from the menu screen and can't play them I select which one I want to play and all that comes up after I select add ons is it says Y for Xbox Marketplace and that's it. I don't have a Xbox live account so I'm wondering do I need a live account to play the add ons?
@MikeN2014: yes it's D.C. Or downloadable content, is available online, the disk gives you access to this download, once you download it, your good to go.
The DLC for Skyrim is accessed by playing the main game. None of the dlc quests are "standalone" expansions. If you installed them from disc, you shouldn't need tn access Marketplace.
@bigblue727272: Okay. Well after I install them from disc 2 then select the add on option from the main menu I click on which one I want and nothing happens. Are they added right in the game when I continue from my last auto save?
They are extra missions added within the game just like the DLC for Fallout.
@MikeN2014: For Dawnguard you have to wander between towns for a bit and wait for a vampire attack or talk to the guards in the towns and see if they bring up the dawnguard. And for Dragonborn its kinda the same but you get attacked by miraak cultists. and for hearthfire you just have to be a thane for falkreath, morthal or that port city that suffers from the nightmare (cant remember the name)
Hey my vagina ain't just "some" vagina....it's THE vagina to you Mister!
