I love these facts in the link about the individual states.
I think most of the world views the USA as 'a whole', yet we see ourselves by seperate & individual & unique states... :-) Like 50 slices of one big, muti layered, cake.

As a requirement to be a President of The United States of America- the individual must be at least 33 years of age & born in the United States
Yet 2 governors of Hawaii have publicly & unequivocally stated their is NO record of birth or the first 6 years of our Presidents birth or life

Don't hold your breath waiting for ANY records or transcripts

What 2 governors?
Linda Lingle (incumbent governor when Obama took oval office)... “It’s been an odd situation,” Lingle said, referring to the continuing controversy over the disputed natural-born citizenship of Obama. “This issue kept coming up so much in the campaign, and again I think it’s one of those issues that is simply a distraction from the more critical issues that are facing the country.

“So I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health, and we issued a news release at that time saying that the president was, in fact, born at Kapi’olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. And that’s just a fact and yet people continue to call up and e-mail and want to make it an issue and I think it’s again a horrible distraction for the country by those people who continue this.”

Neil Abercrombie (governor that replaced Linda and close personal friend of Obamas Parents)... In an interview from the same time with the New York Times, Abercrombie said, "It's an emotional insult. It is disrespectful to the president; it is disrespectful to the office.

"There's no reason on earth to have the memory of his parents insulted by people whose motivation is solely political. ... Let's put this particular canard to rest," he said.
And to my knowledge the now reigning governor (I believe his name is David Ige) had made no public statement concerning Obamas birth.

@Sparky: I find it mind blowing that our constitution. ..a document revered and relevant still...was drafted by only a few men from differing backgrounds and varied personalities. A truly awesome example of what a group of freethinking persons can accomplish with the right motivation.

@TheHBKbigred: You know how much I appreciate as well as take advantage of our freedom of speech. And a man that can and does communicate intelligently is ALWAYS impressive.

@LaDawn: We have freedom of speech, but so often lack the ability to do so intelligently. Id be curious to know how much of that should be a reflection upon our public school system.

@ramblinman: Much of it, I am sure. Or better yet how much of the public school systems failure is due to parent irresponsibility?
