Workforce Strain
The boom in industrial construction has
prompted some concern about workforce
demand.
According to the GBRIA member survey,
the top industrial crafts needed are
welders (including combination welders
and fitter/welders), electrical and
instrumentation technicians, pipefitters,
millwrights, and scaffold builders,
carpenters and insulators.
Once the workers are found, the challenge
is providing housing for them. Greenfield
Logistical Solutions of Louisiana LLC is
building a $70 million “man camp” at the
Port of Lake Charles to provide housing
for 4,000 workers, Scott said. ""

Luckily Im nowhere near Lake Charles, where the majority of it will be going on. Just read that they are gonna hafta hire foreign skilled labor to fill alot of spots....not enough skilled workers here....and thats sad to me.
