Add images to your Forum Posts with the new [IMG] tag! (by Andres)

Hi Folks,

Great news, you can now add external images to your Forum Posts instead of linking to them! This will make it more convenient and colorful for everyone!

To add an image, simply place the URL of the image between [IMG] [/IMG] tags (they're not even case-sensitive)! It's that easy!

So if I wanted to include this image in my post: http://i.imgur.com/Zg7UJ.jpg

I would just have to type:

[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Zg7UJ.jpg[/IMG]

...and it would display it in my post like this:

Notice how the image above is automatically resized for your screen (compared to clicking the actual image link) so that large images do not break the Forums and slow down your experience. To keep things from getting too crazy, you are limited to 1 image per post, and since smilies count as an image, you won't be able to post an image if you post a smilie and vice versa.

If you have an image on your phone that you would like to post, simply upload it to an image hosting service and use the URL they give you. We recommend imgur.com for that!

Have fun!

Give it a few secs for the images to load when you open the thread. The auto-resizing of large images takes a few seconds.

That's strange as I can see them even when viewing the Forums as a logged-out user without any special Admin privileges.

Can anyone see the images mrb89 posted above?

@Andres: I'll try clearing my cookies and logging back in, see if it's my computer being dumb.
