Wtf!!!!! (by shellyme)
So....I start this new job...I'm an stna and a week into my new job...my baby gets super sick...I tell my boss I'm here for my shift but at some point I may get called from my daycare to pick up the baby because they don't want her there with her fever and throwing up for risk of passing it. My boss proceeds to tell me tough **** your residents don't get to go home when they r sick and if I can't find someone else to get the baby then ill get fired......wow!!! Wtf!!!
@shellyme:Im so sorry shelly but your kids are your priority and i know they means the world to you. Just try and talk sense into your bosses head to see if he/she will understand cz for that child to have fever and you boss expects you to do nothing for the sake of your job,i think he/she is in for a very deep joke.
oh trust me I'm lookin for another job I won't be stayin here. She lost my respect right there!! But because rent don't pay itself I can't jus walk or else I would have!!
Being a Store Manager and a father i understand how you feel. For my employees i understand that things come up. If you knew you're baby was sick you shouldn't have taken the baby to day care. Perhaps you should have a babysitter at a residence you could take the baby to.or get a babysitter. Or keep with relatives.
I think your employer was harsh by saying that but just like your employer we are all here to run a business and personal life should be dealt with at home. Before you come in.

There's no point in looking for the body
of Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa, who
disappeared in 1975, at least according to
a law enforcement source "close to the
investigation."
DNAinfo reports that Hoffa was "garroted
by Anthony 'Tony Pro' Provenzano, a
notorious New York mobster" in Inkster,
Mich., and fed into a wood chipper.
The story comes just days after the FBI
called off a search for Hoffa's body
underneath "a concrete slab in a barn in
Oakland Township, Mich.," according to
the Associated Press.

@shellyme: Look at the Federal Emergency Medical Leave Act. There should be a poster somewhere at your workplace with it.
