In september 1978, john paul 'I' was pope for only 33 days before he was found dead in his chambers by a nun bringing him morning coffee. within hours, the pope's body was whisked away, with no autopsy and no investigation. he was virtually erased from history. but many believe john paul 'I' knew secrets about corrupt factions within the vatican that may still excist today. Is the vatican harboring secrets so dangerous that it was willing to kill one of its own popes to hide them?

@TekTonX: I know the Vatician is it's own city that is governed & policed my itself... Completely seperate from Rome & Italy itself... So they have centuties worth of scandals, secrets, lies, corruption... We may never know. Since they only answer to themselves.

@TekTonX: You lost me... Contrary to popular belief & Vatican propoganda. The "Christian Church " , was in existence for a least 300 years BEFORE ... Rome step in to CONTROL it. So RC Curch is NOT the first Church.... So what history book ? Are you bringing the Holy Bible into it.... Before "King James" decieded that even the poor & uneducated have a right to read it ? (and not be mis lead my the RC Church )

A city that governs itself..sets its own rules? Sounds kinda mob-bish to me anyway....not making light of the situation....but Hollywood aint always wrong.

Vatican city was established in 1929, under prime minister benito mussolini. Which is ironic because the fascist leader while raised by a catholic mother denounced the church most of his life. But he knew that the church was powerful and that he needed the support of its followers, so mussolini attempted to show support publicy, and thats why he gave the church absolute freedom. You see, vatican isn't just a city. Its not even a state. The vatican is actually its own country. Its smaller than disney world, but as its own sovereign state, the vatican gets to make its own rules. Vatican city contains the church of saint peter, the sistine chapel and it server as the home of the pope, the divinenly chosen archbishop who rules over one billion catholics.
