As some of u know I come from a military family, not my parents directly but wide spread family wise. Both my children are/were in JROTC when my daughter was in she received 2 National Awards during her 4 years. I don't remember her rank, sorry. My son was just promoted to 2nd Luitenent and received his first National Award last week. Well today we just got a letter saying he's been nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security in Washington, DC this fall. Oh boy, I'm so excited for him. Its only a nomination, but a higher authority (his Sgt or Colonel) is the only people that can nominate u so I'm very very proud someone sees this in my child. Wish him the best, I'm crying happy tears right now
