What are them prices in £?

No need to apologize, the sending of Gifts is purely optional. They're just the best way to stand out from the crowd when trying to impress and get someone's attention on the site since they are extremely rare.

The same numbers, but in pounds. So £1.99, £5, £9, etc. Same for €.

Just click the "Buy" link at the top-left hand corner of the Home screen (next to your "Cupid Credit" balance), and then select how many Cupid Credits you would like to purchase, and then just enter your Credit Card number (no billing address necessary) and you will be all set. It's really easy.
