Feasibility of using rockets to deliver mails (by Stephenem)
A user here suggested using small rockets to send mails. Anyone here with any ideas of how a rocket can be used to send mails with precision & controlled delivery @ destinations?
what happens when they overshoot their targets. Or blow up for that matter
Yeah, by using a GPS/pre-programed terrain following guidance system just like the one on a Tomahawk Cruise missile. The accuracy is within a couple of feet!
@Hawkeye58: is using rockets to send mails a practical, plausible, & wise idea?
@reavis77: your question is the same as my concern & that's what made me to post this thread
Why use such if you can receive an instant messaging ?
It was just a joke of one member .. Do you think it's practical to use such medium ?

I suppose it could be for airmail to be delivered long distance or overseas. It would be much cheaper than the fuel and pilots wages for an airliner.
@Rainbowbutterfly: I don't think it's practical, but what about using it for the delivery of large packages & small cargoes
Im thinking more for packages and documents needing signatures, things of that nature Sissy.
Well... Barry is giving his opinion about that matter . I'm no good of that but I prefer ship instead of rockets
its something scared me lol
