My homepage says i have a message but when i click on it it says it's been deleted? But i didn't delete any messages. Anyone know whats going on?

I was scanning the forums when at the top it said i had a message. I clicked on it. But when inbox page came up it said the message was deleted. I didnt click anything besides the "new message" button. And everytime i message someone and they reply back, i click on datinbox but it says there's no messages.
