Guys: You compliment a woman's profile picture, what response is preferable? (by Thegeorge76)
This should be a no-brainer, but I can't believe how many women have argued or disagreed with the compliments I've given them.
(37 / M-F / Vermont)I voted for "I'm not attractive" because it gives you something to talk about! And i feel like maybe they say that because they want you to try and convince them otherwise.

Wow!!! I have NEVER replied "im not attractive" Why do that? Fishing for more compliments? Sounds kinda childish to me. I say thank u, that was very sweet of u to say.
That's so weird! I mean I agree with being modest and not vain but to be so obviously fishing for compliments is a little pathetic. (and I realize that sounds mean, but I just don't think it's the right way to go about gaining confidence in yourself.)
I always say "Thank you for the complement" even if I never talk to the person again. lol. To outright say "I'm not attractive" is just a girl fishing for complements. I might say "I disagree, but thank you" I never say I am not, because clearly that person found something about me that was. And it's almost an insult to the guy giving the complement... jmo though :)
