How many people out there think that a woman or a man cant have a best friend of the opposite sex i ask bc my best friend is a guy i talk to him all of the time we hang out all the time and sometimes i stay the night at his house could this actually be a reason for me still being single

I have 4 female friends from outside the site who are very special to me for many reasons, it was hard not to have feelings for them espically before i found my girl on the site, but know im gonna enjoy the friendship both they and the female friends i have on the site have already given me

@Kbkaylabear: any body could be friends i have lots of friends from the opp sex it doesnt matter. so my answer would be yes ppl can be best friends with the opp sex

I mean I have lots of friends who are guys, and have no feelings towards them. Well, okay some of them I look at as brothers, but beyond that... nope. If I tell a guy friend 'I love you' what I normally mean is the unsaid, as a brother and a friend who is there for me. And I make it very clear with anyone who is my friend where we stand. That way there is no confusion. I know that feelings can, and do sometimes, develop but I have never had that problem.... on my end anyways. I have never been told otherwise by my guy friends if they developed feelings for me beyond the friendship level.

My best friend is a man, we can everything together, hang out, party, spend the nite, but there was feelings involved. I have several male friends that i rely on and would never cross that line with, so yes its possible, but aot of ppl are intimidated by a male and female friendship....

I personally find it hard to have a male best friend . I had a male best friend way back in my college days and we both developed feelings which was beyond friendship and ended up hurting each other feelings ....

My REALLY close male friends i usually end up having feelings for whether i want to or not. I guess its cuz we get along so well and have so much fun, and u cant control who u fall in love with.
