I recently had to start putting my foot down about people walking on me and not treating me right. In the span of a week this has caused me to stop talking to friends. They dont seem to realize that my love is unconditional but my friendship is not. I didnt even realize it tell today. I didnt realize that I had the control that i could take my friendship from them. Its almost an empowering feeling but hurts realy bad at the same time. Anyway if you read this and can give me some words thank you. Like I said im two friends down not many left to talk to so i thought id turn to everyone here.

Its happening to me at work and a few weeks ago I began putting my foot down. All the people I thought were nice have now shown their true colours and ran into the hills and dont talk to me much anymore. In my opinion they can take a run for themselves. You cant let people walk all over you. I know how you feel, im down two or three that I thought were my friends. Sod them, ill make new friends.

A friendship is a mutual give and take relationship just like having a girlfriend or boyfriend. If they are taking advantage of then they are not friends. True friends stand by you and with you through good and bad. They dont let you down when you need them and you dont let them down when they need you. Those that take advantage are again the fake people.

So true. It can be very disillusioning when so many people let you down during your life. But there are also people out there who wont ever desert you

It does, and when it happens its like someone kicks you in the head. All you can do is pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on. Sure you have a shoulder here, ok?
