My (26f) husband?s (28) feet stink and I can?t stand it anymore. (by Sparky)
My (26f) husband?s (28) feet stink and I can?t stand it anymore.
I get that feet are not the cleanest part of the body and that they?re bound to smell sometimes. But Jesus Christ.
For context: my husband works in a sawmill. He wears heavy work boots, which of course, make his feet sweat.
He will often rewear pairs of socks he wore to work, sometimes wearing the same pair for 3 or 4 days. I?ve asked him not to do this because it smells so horrid I can?t deal with it.
But even still that doesn?t matter. As soon as he comes home and takes his shoes & socks off, the smell is INSTANT and permeates the air. It even lasts after he takes a shower. And it doesn?t smell like just sweaty feet from a long day. Nonono. It legitimately smells like he has been walking around in a sewage tank and I?ve asked myself on several occasion if that?s what he?s really doing before he comes home. Because I just cannot fathom the smell and how it is THAT bad.
I?ve tried to be nice to him about it before with little suggestions and he gets defensive and mopey. I try to be firm about it and tell him to wash his damn feet, same reaction.
At this point I don?t know what else to do. I?m currently hiding in my bathroom because I cannot stand to be laying next to him as he sleeps AND stinks up the entire bedroom.
We?ve been together almost 10 years and his feet have never not had a little odor to them but NEVER this bad..
TL;DR: my husband feet smell to the point I don?t want to be near him and he gets defensive when I mention it. What do??
