Would you rather have a 9/10 chance of winning $1 million but a 1/10 chance of getting eaten by crocodiles or get $1,000?
$1 million - You and 9 other people have a choice of 10 slides. 9 of them lead to a room where the rider will receive their money and exit safely. 1 of them leads to a pit of crocodiles where the rider will be attacked and eaten. None of you know where each slide leads and its impossible to stop once you get on a slide.
$1,000 - You get your money with no risk involved.
