This coming Monday! Are you excited? I've read that there will be a 70 mile wide zone running from Oregon to South Carolina where people can. see the actual total eclipse, and everyone will be able to see a partial eclipse.
Here's a little more info followed by a map of the path with local times the eclipse begins...

""Welcome to our Great Solar Eclipse 2017 page. We hope the information provided will help you in your planning to observe the rare astronomical event that will take place August 21, 2017. The last total solar eclipse on US soil was back ion February 26, 1979. August 21 2017 is the first in 99 years that will stretch from coast to coast. The next total solar eclipse in the US will be April 8, 2024 and the will occur in the eastern US, while the next one to occur over Utah won’t be until August 12, 2045. So we had better take this opportunity to observe the one next year.""

I'm excited. Can't find any eclipse glasses around here, everyone is sold out and the ones wal mart had have been recalled. My location is getting 95% coverage. I figure we'll just watch it get dark and glance at the sun for a second or make our own device.
