Welfare do we really need it? (by leegale)
@spinne88: Very true.....@ Acire and i agree with u all the way! ;p
In my area they offer college, transportation, daycare, and health insurance and cash to assist families. What is sad is that few take advantage of the chance to rise up. Hard not to be a little hard about it sometimes. But dont see it changing anytime soon so what can u do
Yeah people take advantage of it...
but the answer iz yeah people really need it..
simple az that xD

I think welfare is needed, not everyone on it needs it, but it is needed. There are alot of parents that dont support their children, mother may have health problems and cant work, or may work and supply for her family but with no help from the father she will still need help with food stamps and insurance for her children. So not everyone on welfare are "LAZY" some have ligit reasons for needing help.
I agree that some people need it. Those UNABLE to work due to physical or actual mental problems! But the way it is now has caused severe social problems! A young unmarried woman doesnt really have to be very concerned about getting pregnant now, she doesnt absolutly need a man to support her and her child, the government will provide! And what kinds of problems arise from kids with no fathers around? Dont get me started!! Lol, The list is endless!!
This is the number 1 MAIN problem in the U.S today! All our jobs are going overseas! Think what could happen if the American people joined together for the first time in our history and STOPPED buying forign products!! We would have jobs galore and our economy would soar! But we wont do that, so China will continue to grow and the U.S will continue its decline!
@Hawkeye58: That, and wat business that are here are strangled by govt regulation at every turn. They gotta have this license, that license, pay this fee or that fee and follow tons of federal, state, and local ordinances. Contrary to what MSNBC wants us to believe, most ceo's aren't crooks or thieves. Have a good friend here that owns his own business. He employs abt 80 people. If he gets a tax break, what does he do with the money he's saved from it? He grows his business. And wat gets created wen his business grows? JOBS, wud u believe it! And wat does govt get from more people being employed? More tax dollars. Hey Obama and Romney, I know ur on here scoping out the babes, so are u reading this? :-)

Romney made his millions by killing jobs, not that im an obama fan, hes not much better, i was was goin 4 ron paul..., unfortunately, he was more concerned with the real problems annd not about makin himself look good and 'hip' 4 the voters.... :(
@leegale: obviously....However, the government should after proper forecasting devise a mechanism to check the entitlement of deserving ppl. Welfare sections in each and every department should be made practical. In broader sense, welfare is now worldwide phenomena in the days to come.
Yes, we need it, for the ones who deserve it. The ppl who have a hard time making ends meet and need that extra help to raise their families, those are the ppl who deserve it. Its not for the lazy. The near by town i work in, 80% of them are "Welfare Freeloaders" and most of them never work a day in their life in the private sector, and never payed into the system. Yes, i agree reform it and reform food stamps. Idk in other states but here in NY Soda and candy is allowed on foodstamps, come on really, then wonder why we have an obesity problem in this country. Cut it, take it away from the lazy freeloaders that expect it as a hand out to just exist. There is alot of wasted money going to support lazyness & gluttony. Welfare is for the struggling families and ppl who need the help not for a way of life, just cuz ur too damn lazy to work, and sit infornt of the tv day in and day out stuffin their fat faces without a care in the world because they know their taken care of. We need to end this now because we are starting to become a nation of freeloaders. Jmo.
