Who thinks they can answer this question?: "How does one fall in love" (by Davidbird)

Love at first sight doesn't happen. What we think is love at first sight is more of a mutual lust with a bit of curiosity. Love, the real kind, isn't something that happens instantly. Its something that comes with time. If you believe you have experienced lust at first sight then that might prompt you to try and spend time with that person. Over time that slight interest eventually becomes real love. Time is the key to love. Thats just how it happens. If you really want someone to love you then spend time with them (Being a nice respectful human being helps too). It doesn't have to be a date or even face to face. Just as long as you and them are there with each other. experiencing each other and learning more about the other every encounter. That is how true love develops. This method of finding people can also be applied to finding new friends. Its a different kind of relationship and the effect is more along the lines of them being close enough friends that they would die for you but who doesn't want close friends? My point being that love is not instant and it doesn't stay once it is here. It is something that takes work, dedication, trust, loyalty, and most importantly, time.

So why do jaded people join dating websites? I just have to say do not ask us. Ask an elderly couple that has been married for decades. They know something we do not comprehend.
