I remember when my mom took my cats to the humane society because they were scratching up all the furniture. I was like 12. I remember handing them over and how terrified they were. Their ears went back, their claws clung to my shirt, and I remember their lil eyes looking like they were saying "PLEASE..." I know it sounds dramatic lol, but I still think about them and wonder what became of them. After all this time I still get a little teary-eyed thinking about that day. I loved Sugar and Mittens :(
