Our prison system is overflowing, due in no small part to ridiculous laws over the use and possession of marijuana as well as the persecution of prostitutes and those who pay for their services. Our courts are overwhelmed with trials of what I consider to be victimless crimes.

Remember that the founding fathers had just gone through a hell of a war against their oppresive, previously acknowledge country.....a country that used its standing army to confiscate firearms of its own citizens.....so they didnt want to create an atmosphere that allowed that to happen again. How do you do that? You allow the PEOPLE the right to bear ARMS and make sure its NOT INFRINGED in any way.....hence the Second Amendment.

"People" refers to you and I...or any law abiding citizen

"Arms" refers to any weapon you can carry on your person
