I'm going with SRV.I know alot of you might hate me for saying this,but I think Hendrix was a bit overrated.I mean,don't get me wrong,he was good,but I don't think he was great.I personally think that Stevie Ray was way better.He took Hendrix' "Voodoo Child" and basically made that song his own.No disrespect to Jimi,but In my opinion,Stevie Ray Vaughan was the best guitar player who ever lived.When that man played his guitar and sang,he put all his heart and soul into every song,and you could feel that spirtual connection that he had with you.It was like he was reaching out to you though his music.That's why Stevie will always be one of my favorite artists of all time. RIP SRV 1954-1990

Stevie ray is the better. He was only in the dawn of his career when he died. Such a no-brainer.

Well ima say the choices were too limited....cuz mellow as he was....and not so extreme as he may have seemed.....Eric Clapton was the best guitarist....period....BOOM altho i will say my son rocked a jimi hendrix prosthesis for well over a year so other than clapton...id say hendrix

@loveembignsexy: lol Clapton is an awesome guitar player.No question.The reason why I added only Jimi and Stevie on this poll is because me and my friend are always going at it,about who the better guitar player was.He always says it's Hendrix and I say it's Stevie Ray Vaughan.So,I just wanted to know what everyone's thoughts were on here about the two.That's why I didin't add Clapton.
