Do you think if all people around the world live without Religion, would the world be a better place ? Or would be humanity be worse off ?

Thats a tough one rainbow. i used to believe that religon was the source of the many wars in the world. Espeically in my small country, and many other countries. But now after refinding my faith its hard to say, i try to respect all religons now even though i havent personally met people from the many religons of the world.

James, I used to believe also that religion causes wars . In my homeland, it's between Christians & Muslims endless war but as I get older , it comes to my senses that it's not Religion but how people embrace their Religion Teachings that causes wars. Religion teach people about love of mankind, understanding , respect and etc.

I understand, thats horrible, here its between Roman Catholics and
Protestants and it has lasted for the past 25 years, people are trying
to move on, and thats what my wider horizons course entails, its bringing
the two communities together, and now my nearest and dearest friends are Catholic and i am Protestant, but we saw past religon and became like a family.

Here we have Christians and then those who PRETEND to be Christians. They know who they r and so does their God.

Wow that's great James that it finally lasted , how I wish it would miraculously happen in my country too. It's so depressing to see that innocent children are the ones who suffers from the chaos cause by different beliefs :(

Imagine a world full of people consumed with the age old questions of where we come from, why are we here and where are we going with no place to get answers. That would be chaos! I'd rather have the conflict. And i'm not trying to pick a fight here but to make a statement about pretend to be christians comes from exactly the attitude that causes conflict. The pastor that baptised me was convicted and jailed for pocketing the money from the collection plate. Does that make him any less a man of god? Those he led to the cross would say no. Who is anyone to judge the spiritual condition of another? The intolerance of the defects of character or their short comings will lead noone to better understanding of spiritual principles. Love means looking past my desires and your faults and seeing a need and fulfilling that need and with that we can move mountains.

Thats why its between them and their God. I believe what i believe and they believe what they believe. But in my opinion if a pastor steals from his church then yes it makes him less of a man. He is there to teach the word of God which says thou shalt not steal...so if u cant do what u preach then u probably shouldnt be preaching

Religion is a man-made entity so, by nature, its flawed. Spirituality, on the other hand, is very personal. As to the whole preacher situation, wenevr I've seen one leaving the house of a parishioner, he was either picking his teeth or zipping his pants.
