I have been asked many times if i have a facebook account... i dont have a facebook account because i dont see the point of it... Why do i need one??
I guss its a social network ther u can find friends frm all over the world and can post pics vidoes mostley we can chat
FB is a social website. Other's have ulterior motives why they ask such...if you become friends in FB, he/she can view your list of friends (depends on your privacy setting ) hence, if he has bad intention (scamming), he'll secretly befriended your friends and friends of your friends...
If he is genuine, then perhaps, he'll like to view some of your photos & etc.

Its up to you but if your intention to create an account is only to give it to someone whom you meet online because they ask for it, i guess not a good idea ...
I have facebook to keep in contact with friends from high school and share photos. i have a few ppl idk on my page but so do most ppl
