Tax free weekend in Va (by jake92)
Here in Virginia this weekend we have a tax free weekend on back to school supplies, clothing less than 100$ per item and certain electronics. Last night at Target and walmart it had that black friday kind of vibe people were determined to get the deals. Some just to save a buck many for the simple fact they cant afford to supply their kids for school. If you care about the future of kids and america find someone less fortunate than you to help. Remember its the small things we can do that make a BIG difference!
@jake92: Sales, will be popping up everywhere (tax free, would be nice here). The summer, has been a disaster for ALL RETAILERS. Only summer protection products have seen a profit. (sunscreen & insect repellant) . Even large corporations (that usually have record profits, have slid). Ex: Six Flages , Mc Donald's & Coke (first time ever for them, w/out record sales in over 100 yrs). People simply cannot afford to do all the usuall summer activities anymore. What they do have, is now going to daily life. It is a new & ever growing poor America. Im glad my children are grown. And pray for my future grandchilden.
@jake92: I did all my school shopping Wednesday to afford the crowd's and to make sure everything wasn't sold out
Its tax free here too, I'm not getting out in it. The shelves look like a tornado came thru...to messy for me
