I cut open my heart
and these words are my emotions
bleeding free

I'm taking a stand today,
I chose to not be you:
You,
who should have protected me,
You,
who should have held me,
You,
who gave me life,
Mommy why did you stand there
and never fight for me?
Daddy,
why'd you have to break me?

People always say:
sticks and stones may break your bones,
but words will never hurt me.

But I've found that
wounds heal,
and words leave scars
upon the heart.

So here I take my stand,
This is my battle cry:
I won't sit idly by
and let anyone else make victim
their innocent children.

You can't see the scars;
you can't see the bruises,
because they are all on the heart.

So here I scream out
for the world to hear:
The cycle stops here!

Yeah i definately want to read your book, though your skills are polished your style remains raw, captivating kid, you have a bright future

I write raw. Every word is a piece of my heart and mind, an emotion of mine, even if the words aren't my story, I put my emotions into them... though if it is a part of my actual story, I put even more then emotion into it, put a piece of my heart and soul.... (sorry, I ramble a lot)
