@Rambler: Do you know about or have any thoughts on Kemah,TX for a launching and or Marina until I sail?

@Rambler: Ok. Well it's along Galveston bay. I want there because it is supposed to be nice and about the shortest in Practical miles from here. But then I'd either have to sail thru the canal or go around the cape (Yikes) and on up along the west side to California where my parents live. Orrr Just transport to Norcal instead and pay a few extra.$

@Mr5cott: personally, I would sail around the cape. Even if only for the adventure.

@Rambler: I hear ya but...Not on a shake down I think. Maybe if I could take an experienced crew.

@Mr5cott: how much time do you have behind the mast?

@Rambler: Umm, call me crazy, and I am...About 3 weeks worth as a teen sailing dinghy's and lasers on a lake.

@Mr5cott: well, I won't call you crazy. But I would strongly advise an experienced captain to take you out for your first time.

@Rambler: I call myself crazy all the time haha hence why I don't drive truck anymore. I agree. My plan was to have something along those lines before I set out from port. I wonder if Capt Ron is available haha

@Mr5cott: Well I need to start somewhere. I expect a 2-5 year building project depending on funds and hours available. Plenty of time to learn new things.
