I have noticed alot if fake profiles lately, people pretending to be some one your not.. its obvious when you day your from America but your speech just doesn't add up.. I hope this stops soon because its getting old

Yeahh i talked to someone who lived like twenty minutes away from me...but yet didn't even know the name of my town...his profile said Blonde hair & Blue eyes..But Yet his profile picture....Dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Like thats not obvious lol

I had one person when verifying pictures, the chosen profile picture was of a woman, but the authentication picture was of a young guy with a cig in his mouth and holding up the authorisation code, I mean wtf like anyone in their right mind would even click "yes, everything's fine"
Think that maybe using some kind of formal ID when joining may help, but then again would it actually solve the problem or cause more problems with things such as data protection act etc?
Any thoughts?
