Early Settlers:
- indonesians
- malays
- chinese
- arabs

Then:
- conquered by Spain for 333yrs
* Philippines was named Archipelago of St. Lazarus by Magellan
* changed to Filipinas by Roy Lopez de Villalobos in honor for King Philipp II of Spain

- colonized by Americans
* changed the name Filipinas to Philippine Islands

- then came the Japanese

- back to the hands of Americans

- Independence
* thus, the Philippine Republic

-- and many more, bow. bored. >.<
This was very interesting to read charmy :) Question, because I know the Phillipines are a Christian country...colonized by America, is it the only religious faith or do Filipinos still practice their faith traditionally also?
