Life Changers (by LaDawn1974)
Has anyone experienced a truly life-changing event? What difference has it made on your life?
I used to a man that believed crying was beneath me. Was brought up th believe men didn't do that, was a sign of weakness. Had a lil girl on 2002. She WAS my life! Lol Was soooo special to me! Can't tell u how much she was like me! Lol She was killed in a car accident in '05. I vividly remember looking at her laying in a small pink casket. My life changed that day. And boy did I cry! For the nxt 2 yrs I cried. Taught me to enjoy every single frikkin day! Lol That was my life changing moment. Hell I cry at everything now lol
@Ram318: thanx for sharing! and I believe that God gave us tears to wash the pain away and leave room for joy.
@Rainbowbutterfly: No need to cry :) She's where we all hope to end up :) The pastor gave this wonderful eulogy that comforts me to this day. My daughter was singing at the moment of impact. The pastor reminded me that she went from singing a solo, to instantly singing a duet with Jesus :) And people wonder why I believe in Him:)
My lil girl was burned 52% of her body when she was 17 mnths old. She spent almost a year in the hosp. I cant say that that day specifically was a life-changer but the whole experience taught me how to advocate for my children and how precious life is! I learned from her stength and will to survive and her good nature and ability to laff off others concern for her scarring. She is 12 now and will still wear a two piece bathing suit unselfconciously.
I was born in a society where women were treated less than men, where women's essence are slave of men. I hate that and grew up rebellious. We, women were not allowed to get education, thanks goodness my mother fought for our rights, never forget the day when mother made a decision to send us(my sisters) to school even father and elders were against it. My life change and I am very proud of mama. My superwoman :D
She still teaches me to be proud of who u are and how to live gracefully in the face of hardship. I am sooo proud to be her mom!
@Ram318: oh well , that's true but sigh stories like this pull my emotions.
