(47 / F-M / Florida)Hi loving54, for me a true friend is one that you can sit around with, talk to, share secrets but if you don't talk and just sit in the same room hanging out and don't say one word it it's just as natural. Almost like your life's partner but on a friend level. Sometimes I don't even speak to my good friends in a long while. And when I do, it's almost as if a day hasn't passed.

True,but it must be a 2way street and exchange what each feels and their likes and dislikes as well as some laughs. And like you say,share secrets etc.
A good friend is there to listen to you and you them. They stand beside you no matter where each of you are in the world. You support each other no matter what. You each respect each others difference in opionions and individuality. You take the time to help each other through good and bad times. You always take time to listen to each other whether is to catching up or dealing with advice on things. This is what friends mean to me.
