Opposite sex friends (by JLaDawn)
Would you give up a friend of the opposite sex if your partner requested it? Conversely, would you request your partner to give up their opposite sex friend for you?
An ex did once and in manner to keep relationship I did. Dunno if i'd do it again and unless the guy or girl was trying to make a move on my girlfriend every single night. I'd not have issues with my gf having male friends.
@JLaDawn: Absolutely not! Been there. Done that. It DOES NOT go both ways. If a spouse has a prob with your friend, they have a jealousy/control problem. If 'they' had a friend of the opposite sex, they wouldnt give them up for you. They are insecure and it'll only get worse. Thank you. I really do know.
I wont and I would not expect him to do that to me either. If I do it means I dont trust him and if I dont trust him, there would be no love. And same should go for him.
that is exactly the way I feel! I cant imagine falling for a guy that WOULD ask
@JLaDawn: Yes. If he cant trust you, let him go. You will not regret it
I agree but what if they had dated in past? I wouldnt have a problem with it unless she rubbed it in my face that they did jmo
In both cases only if the friend was an ex of whom he/she still had feelings for.
Oh I am single...it was a hypothetical to get opinions to help me with a moral dilemma I am struggling with
My one ex had five ex friends of hers and she didn't rub it in my face but she didn't lie. I didn't mind cause I trusted she was with me. The one ex that didn't cheat on me lol
