How old does a child have to be before they can LEGALLY ride in a front facing car seat? Iv looked all over the internet and cant find the new 2012 age/height/weight regulations on front facing car seats. I need to know...

I know in Alabama its 12... they have to be in a booster seat in the back if they're under 10 or 4' 9"...its not something they really enforce around here tho, but they are strict about toddlers being in a car seat...I know each state is different tho...call ur local police department n they'll tell ya

My son is a little shy of being a year old right now. He is already too big for his rear facing car seat and i dont have alot of money either...he hates facing the rear end, there is a small tv made in the van and i just think that if hes able to see it then he'll be alot happier. I would like to buy a front facing seat for him but dont know the regulations for arkansas...hes not quite old enough for a booster seat though.

U can get a forward facing seat for the back...Thrift stores are a good place to find one cheap, and they do clean n wash the padding...most of em do anyway
