Does anyone believe the half-baked, lame-ass testimonials?
Almost all are from the U.S., but are written and phrased as if the person has english as a 3rd language. I contacted on of the chicks who's name was on one and she certainly didnt write it. Seriously mobi, how embarrasing for u

Our Testimonials are 100% real. They are written by departing users when they close their account. You can see for yourself by going to My Account -> Delete Account -> Met Someone Here. It is the text entered on that page that appears as our Testimonials, so they are raw and they are real. We aren't even including the Praises we receive from the Feedback page, so there are even more than what we're showing.

You can view all our Testimonials here: http://dating.mobi/?page=testimonials&ac=viewAll

Posting fake testimonials is an illegal misrepresentation which we have never and will never do. This is the same reason we do not create fake profiles to "fill" our site.

If you feel like they are written by a person with English as a 3rd language, then you are not considering the fact that they are written on a mobile phone (where it is quite normal for grammar and spelling to go out the window for even perfect English speakers), and at the end of the account deletion process where people are not really concerning themselves with perfect grammar, particularly since they no longer have to impress anyone. If we were faking our Testimonials, why in the world would we write them that way?

It's obviously up to you to believe them or not, but you would only be doing a disservice to yourself by choosing to not believe something that is quite real.

That said, it's one thing to choose not to believe something that is very real. It's an entirely different matter to make a knowingly-false accusation to defame us and belittle all those users who have actually found love via our site and chose to share their stories with everyone. That I cannot accept, particularly when you have the audacity to say how "embarrassing" this is for us when in fact you are the one stating absolute lies.

You make quite an outrageous claim to have contacted one of the people whose "name" appears on a Testimonial and that "she certainly didnt write it", even though our user's names do NOT appear on Testimonials (only their usernames) and they are no longer contactable after they delete their accounts. Furthermore, only the account owner with their password can login to delete their account and leave a testimonial. That's how I know your claim is completely false. Since you made such a strong accusation, I'm going to ask you to provide evidence to back it up, so please post the username and testimonial you are claiming to be false. If you do not provide the evidence here, it will be clear that you just made up this false accusation to discredit us unfairly.

Dude, i'm a free thinkin' intelligent individual with my own, considered opinions. The person was chaybaby1770. I informed her on the 14/2 that i had seen her name on a "testimonial", and her reply was { seriously lol. *******s}. Now her account has been conveniently deleted. But that does not change the fact that i spoke to her after reading a supposed "testimonial" from her. My remarks were in no way defamatory, so stop trying to get all legal on my ass. You are a acting like a goose, and thats just my opinion so any proof is not required.

Id like to point out that once an account is deleted the username is freed up. (on most sites anyway) and the names could be coincidence.

Dude, i'm a free thinkin' intelligent individual with my own, considered opinions.
Then please don't state them as fact, especially when they are false.

The person was chaybaby1770.
I just looked her up. She has had an account with us 3 times and deleted it each time, under user id's 90918, 91350, and 93001. On one of those deletions, she left the following Testimonial at exactly 19:35:36 GMT on January, 28 2012:

Uhm well my experience on this site wasn't bad at all I met this beautiful amazing girl on here and I think its really gonna go somewhere. She's a beautiful person both inside and out and I look forward to bein able to spend my time with her and her son all this is possible because of this site. Thanx :)
She wrote that. No one else did.

Although we do not keep our user's e-mail when they delete their account, Chaybaby1770 has written to us via e-mail in the past, so I will be getting in touch with her to see if she can clarify this matter for you.

I informed her on the 14/2 that i had seen her name on a "testimonial", and her reply was { seriously lol. *******s}.
I see nothing in her reply to suggest her Testimonial was written by us as you falsely alleged.

Now her account has been conveniently deleted.
You clearly did not understand the deletion process on Dating.mobi that I mentioned in my previous post. Testimonials are the last step of the account deletion process, so nothing was "conveniently" deleted as you put it. She deleted her own account right after leaving her Testimonial. Once again, you can replicate this yourself by going to My Account -> Delete Account -> Met Someone Here. As soon as you press the "Submit" button on that page, your Testimonial is sent to us and your account is deleted. There is currently no other way to submit Testimonials.

But that does not change the fact that i spoke to her after reading a supposed "testimonial" from her.
And that does not change the fact that we did not write that Testimonial. She did, so there is nothing "supposed" about it.

My remarks were in no way defamatory, so stop trying to get all legal on my ass.
Look up the definition of defamatory. You are posting outright lies as fact on this forum to attempt to unfairly discredit us. Do you seriously expect us not to defend our reputation, especially after all the hard work we've put into the site?

You are a acting like a goose, and thats just my opinion so any proof is not required.
Why are you resorting to personal attacks and insults? I never insulted you. Personal attacks are not allowed in the Forums. No exceptions. If you do it again (to me or anyone else), you will be banned from Dating.mobi. This is your only warning. We want to foster a respectful community here, so if you are unable to respect others, then you simply do not belong here. Criticize us all you want, but learn to be respectful about it and don't make it personal. That goes for any discussion thread with any Dating.mobi user.

Id like to point out that once an account is deleted the username is freed up. (on most sites anyway) and the names could be coincidence.
This was true up until last week when we launched the forum. In order not to confuse forum users with posts from different people using the same username, deleted usernames can no longer be re-registered. However, in this case, the 3 accounts under "Chaybaby1770" were actually the same person.

Hi, i was on the site a long time ago and left it leaving a testiomnal under my current user name. I came back to the site with the same user name and you started showing the random testimonals, someone i was getting to know asked me about it and i explained my situation. It would be nice if you had an option not to leave a testimonal or when someone who has left one if they return give them an option to delete it. Thanks for reading.

Jamesmc, thanks for confirming to the community that our testimonials are real and written by our departing users. I'm sorry to hear things did not work out for you the first time around, but thanks for the vote of confidence in coming back to try again.

I can certainly see how your old Testimonial can cause confusion now that you are back and using the same username, so I've gone ahead and removed it for you.

This won't happen again since usernames are no longer reusable.

Hope this helps.
