Ya, I mean it's not like it's a rule that a guy HAS to pay on a first date, but if he likes the girl enough to ask her out on a date in the first place then it would make sense he would want to be a gentleman and pay for whatever they go do. Ill usually pick up the tab on a date no matter what number date it is with 1 exception and under a few rules. The exception is if I'm asked to join her in doing something that she knows I don't want to do and which isn't something inexpensive. Aka, the opera or something. The rules that apply if im always picking up the tab is don't run up the bill ordering 15 dollar frozen girly drinks, don't order the lobster unless I do first, and humor me by at least pretending to reach for the check while grabbing your purse when the waiter brings it. Lol a reach when the bill comes, that's all I'm asking for :)

Hiya Rainbowbutterfly, great post as always girl:))) hmmm, a guy paying first is a great first impression. Things have changed so much in the realm of expectations now though until I'd pay my portion of the date just not to get a headache at the end of it. The guy pays, he's like I just paid all of this money. What can I expect to get in return at the end of this date? smh lol I also take enough to catch a cab in the event things get too crazy. Time has changed so much.
