For me it IS an objection....I believe in this country and I believe in God...but I also believe that this country was created from good mens need to escape religous tyranny and believe very strongly in seperation of state and church!
Ahhh but I must disagree...separation of church and state has nothing to do with keeping the church out of the state, but has everything to do with keeping the state out of the church...and as much as some people wanna believe its not true, this country was founded on Christian beliefs...that why our presidents place their hand on a Bible when being sworn in....just wanted to stir the pot a little

No, they revolted against the Catholic Church, which, at the time, had deep ties within the British goverent. Our founding fathers were no doubt Christians, and those beliefs are the basis of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence...and @april: no, they discovered the land mass, not founded the country...their signatures are nowhere on the Declaration of Independence...nor did they have anything to do with the writing of the Constitution.
