@Mewchow716: Makes sense-perhaps we then start thinking we can manipulate ea other to get what we want from the relationship? why dont we just from get go tell ea other exactly what we want and expect and decide if we can live with whats offered? Sounds we too immature when in 20 and 30is to know what we want and hence to many divorces. Unless we mature at younger ages and odd person does!

@JCSMTG: What about male drama? Many dont seem to know what they have even if they have a reasonable appreciative woman who treats them respectfully-sees better you treat and give, less you get back. Appears you ca give too much!

@expactation: Yip humanity and commitment generally has gone down the tubes! We live in a soc with sense entitlement and commodities easily bought and sols and marriage is like just another commodity to get rid of old when want knew. To easy to divorce and to get married and just give up and exchange the product

I've experienced the samething with women. I have told women that I loved them and they have then gone to great lengths to avoid me like the plague. Idk why men or women do it. But I've found many real ppl they just are not always as noticible as the others

There seems to be two opposing ends to this situation. It wasnt specified so I wondered if this guy was an attraction/crush or friend. If he's a guy that she was just attracted to or had a crush on and broke the news the guy could very well be flattered, but based on what's going on already in his life, may cause him to distance himself. Like, not having time or chance to get to know you on his terms, just coming out of a relationship or currently being in one, or just not interested in gearing up for something serious. If he's a friend and does this I believe he simply feels awkward. The friendship has gone in a different direction and he doesnt know what to do with the change and new emotions so distance is safer and more convenient. I chose keep it as friends (save the friendship). She can always still move on to someone who feels the same but the friends are always there even when the relationship isnt.

@Lonlysoul: and that also works the other way. I told this woman I was friends with for years that I had fallen in love with her and she suddenly didn't want to be friends anymore
