Be on time! (by james85)
@Notlikeothers: When it comes to a job I have two rules: 1) always be early & 2) never be late. Honestly, I don't believe "work" is what James meant.
@Notlikeothers: Where I work now I can walk to work in a minute. Now when I worked in a tv & appliance store, I had to drive to work but still I was never late.
@ufojoe like you I'm always on time if not early.
With my job I have varied working hours but normally get there 40min-an hour early just to go through music or listen to the music I have to perform/record.

@Notlikeothers: As hard as it is to find a job here these days, it would look really bad to get fired for constantly late for work. The next employer will have 2nd thoughts of hiring a person who has a pattern of showing up late for work.
Lol this thread reminds me of this movie that i seen a couple of months ago

and will say and give me
and my clients something to talk about

@WalkSoftly: hard as it is to do: just ignore him, replying will only give him what he wants... attention.
Running late to meet up with a friend? Not as big a deal.
Running late for work? Not so good.
Running late for a business meeting? Not okay at all!
I think it depends on if it's a casual meet up, or a formal one. Not saying be hours late, but with friends I think it's a smidgen more acceptable to be running late then to a business meeting, you have a really good reason for being late to the meeting... as most people have cell phones nowadays, it makes informing people you're running late easier.
