When you accuse someone of lying & you get mad about it they feel ashamed & that is why they will deny & make up more lies to cover the first lies... So if you choose to teach him, it has to be done calmly.

My ex used tto lie constantly. I just never wanted to admit she did. But now I know better.

Lie to me once, shame on you, lie to me the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time, shame on me...in others words, it might be time to cut your losses and get that person out of your life.

@AprilLove666: How do u teach someone not to lie? It ticks me off to bad to stay calm, I hate to sound like I'm accusing him of lying but da*n I know he is.
