OP, the final decision is with you to make but I may suggest to try even for 2 months if you could really step as full time aunt/ parent to your nephew .

I know that you will do that because you love your nephew and that is very good of you BUT personally for me .. You aren't that prepared yet considering , you are working full time , schooling , teen age lifestyle and etc ..


Parenting is a tough duty ...

I think it sounds like you already are being the mother, why not make it official? Least that's my opinion. Long as you want to, and he loves you, I see no reason not to. But as others said, you truly have to decide.

Wow! Thats pretty quick. It takes months and months of fighting and courts b4 we get anywhere near adoption. Taking in a child while parents are in rehab goes quick, but adoption takes time
