@brats52005: i can absolutely agree with that statement. Wars are not fought in the name of any god. That may be what you see on the news but whatever faith you study you will find the same spiritual principles which never change. What changes is how we use spiritual principles through dogma and tradition and that is what devides religions causing conflict. Until we realize that we are all connected then humanity will struggle

Many people have died in the name of one god or another by the will of man. Not the will of a god.

God gave us everything we will ever need. Our choices are what we deal with not Gods he gave us the power of choice

Actually many of our wars fought within this century has not been about religion I mean the crusades is ancient. There hasn't been a official religious war in a very long time. If you are refering to the mid east conflict again it isn't about religion its about politics and land. And if we are going to point fingers at specific cultures and beliefs I suggest you look at our own backyard. Do you really think the Viatnam war was about blocking the communist from controling veitnam. Really then what was the Biggest issue facing this country before during and after Vietnam? I hope you guessed right. It was the civil rights. So you mean to tell me our gov. Would give us issues about passing desegregation laws but ooh no don't let them Russians invade those poor Vietnamese people please you've been spoon fed yeah it was to block the commies but not to protect those people there was more to the story then you've been told. But I digress. Since the fall of the ottoman Empire there hasn't been a war fought for the establishment of God. No sir every war after has been about Money, Land and Power. A religious war is when two opposing beliefs claim that its their god given right to conquer the other or to vanquishe the hethans as they say.

Yes thats a common error to blame problems on God but its generally humans that hurt humans in their hate & greed. My saying on the matter is why build a dragster but never take it to the track? I believe we were meant to leave Eden for this reason. God made us in His image and that means even watered down we're very intelligent, creative, resourceful, and strong. We deal with problems like this because unlike animals we've the ability to face and correct them. Doing so builds individual character which is part of why we were made in the first place, so God has companions to spend eternity with.
