A very hard lesson to learn (by Evanne)

I met a man when I was 18. I thought he was gr8. We had good times but a lot of abusive times too. We had 13 years together and 3 lovely kids. Then I found out that he's a liar, cheat and dangerous man. I ignored the abuse he did to me cos the next day he would always say sorry. I was scared to leave or tell any one. Scared I had nowhere to go and what he might do to me. He left in Jan 2011 and I was relived and glad he had gone finally then a week later he came back and told me he had changed and wanted me back. I told him I don't want him back. He kept coming to the house and getting angry. I called the police and social services. He continued to follow me wherever I went. So eventually I moved and still am involved with social services. Me and the kids are safe and happy now. Anyway the very hard lessons I learnt is 1. Never to jump into a relationship to fast. 2.don't judge a book by its cover.
3. Leopards never changes their spots

Wow im sorry to hear that. Atleast you and your kids are safe now. Dont take this the wrong way but. Instead of remember the bad times with this guy. Try to remember the good. You were with him for a large portion of your life so there must be some good times right?

lol leapords never change there spots. I got to remember that. So true.

Sorry to hear your bad experiences & thank you for sharing your story.

In life, there are valuable lessons that we really learned the hard way but those lessons made us wiser & better.

I personally pre-judge a book by its cover, not by looking the front cover but by taking a glance at the back cover, with that, i will have an idea what kind of book am going to read.

Be proud having those 3 beautiful children & survived the 13 years of "ship" before it sunk...

Take care & God Bless
