You
wanna live your life in fear of an evil that
doesn't exist, be my guest.
I bet France had that same sentiment till just a few weeks ago.

Sounds like you are getting your information
fron Faux News!
Brian Williams and NBC News say hello....

Unless, of course you are aligned
with the current congress
As opposed to being aligned with the previous congress.....

have no problem saying radical Islam is a
problem. I omitted the the noun in favor of
the adjective as a noun for the simple fact
that I view all radicalism from any quarter
to be a threat to civilization.
I get that...except...We ARE discussing radical Islam....not any other radicalization.

As far as supporting Sharia, no I don't. I
don't agree with religion as a whole
including Islam. But I do support others'
rights to be able to do so. If someone wants
to subject themselves to religious laws, I
have no problem with that.
If you can guarantee me that, in ten years, with the spreading of Sharia Law, that these courts wont harbor people who wish to do us harm, Ill agree to an extent...and that extents is shaky at best. We already have a Constitution.

I am very familiar with the way the rest of
the world views our country.
With all due respect, I really dont care how the rest of the world views us.

I'm not a fan of PC at all. I speak the way I
wish to speak, if someone was offended by
it, it is not intentional, but it is what it is.
Same here.....

@Ladawn:

Indian tribes and Christian Coalition groups
......havent been flying planes into buildings, beheading people, raping women and children, and burning people alive in the name if The Great Spirit or Jesus either......that being said, Im against them having their owns courts also. Why on earth separate ourselves further?

@WalkSoftly: the Sharia courts, can legally only arbitrate and rule in matters of religion. It is much like the Beit Din, which are the Jewish courts we have all over America. A better translation for both courts would be council. They are much like the councils you see in any christian church. Especially the more conservative sects of Christianity. They rule in matters that affect their faith and their followers.

Speaking of Brian Williams, did you hear his Mea Culpa?! I don't do NBC or MSNBC or Fox or any other major news network. I will watch some of CNN's non-news content. I get my news on the radio and online. Mostly from non-US sources. Though I do like NPR, PRI, etc.

Here it is....

Backstory for those that hadnt heard......

"" WASHINGTON — NBC Nightly News anchor
Brian Williams admitted Wednesday he was
not aboard a helicopter hit and forced down
by RPG fire during the invasion of Iraq in
2003, a false claim that has been repeated
by the network for years.
Williams repeated the claim Friday during
NBC’s coverage of a public tribute at a New
York Rangers hockey game for a retired
soldier that had provided ground security
for the grounded helicopters, a game to
which Williams accompanied him. In an
interview with Stars and Stripes, he said he
had misremembered the events and was
sorry.
The admission came after crew members on
the 159th Aviation Regiment’s Chinook that
was hit by two rockets and small arms fire
told Stars and Stripes that the NBC anchor
was nowhere near that aircraft or two
other Chinooks flying in the formation that
took fire. Williams arrived in the area
about an hour later on another helicopter
after the other three had made an
emergency landing, the crew members said""

@WalkSoftly: I think the old saying is United we stand, divided we fall, and I see division of all things in this from laws, freedom, religious beliefs, how we dress and talk, could all change, even if its gradually, which is how most change in America has happened, I remember watching soap operas on tv as a child, as far as a bed room seen, all they would show then is a hand reaching for the bedroom door knob, but today there panting, and thrashing around in bed, and its acceptance has not met with resistance.when will we stand up and say that's enough ? In the book I read it says do not let the enemy into your camp, or while you sleep he will cut your throat...i got one eye open..!
But I do support others' rights to be able to do so. If someone wants to subject themselves to religious laws, I have no problem with that. So long as they still obey our laws. Ours is and should be the supreme law of the land. But if someone else chooses to put themselves under a religious law, that is their own choice.
Gee,I bet you think Cali giving illegals driver's licenses is just swell too, huh? Holy nonsensical sense, it's the Lib Signal Batman!

@BigPapaRedneck: California does plenty that I don't agree with. It is their state, not mine. Se la vie. And liberal hardly describes my political leanings. Nationally, I would be considered a centralist. Texas politics are a little different.

@WalkSoftly: Correction there was this one guy who flew a plane into a federal building. Wasn't a high body count but it wasn't covered by the news that I remember, was young at the time. And he was Christian
