I recently was in a discussion with a guy about ex relationships. He married, divorced, remarried same woman and is now separated. I was in a relationship that went belly up after 3 yrs but found out that my ex still has my phone number because he called me. I explained during the discussion that my ex was going through a rough time when we were together apparently because it showed. He asked me if I would take my ex back now because he's probably changed and will be better now. The guy asked me if it's possible for that to happen. I told him...nope. Not in a lot of cases. You see, to him he measures love based on how badly he can treat her and still change and be better return and have her love him even more. Dunno what romance novel he's reading but....lol Anyways, how do you measure and identify love in the relationship?

For me , Love can't be measured by any means .. When I sincerely love someone , I can't even describe the feelings .. & that's where I know .. I'm inlove ..
But in a healthy relationship , Love is not enough to keep it strong and " forever" but only one of the many components ...

Oh heck no.... He's called an ex for a reason lol Im not taking my ex back. But my coworker was asking me that to also suggest that it was possible for his own situation. The thing is, if the wife takes him back it will be more for practical reasons than for love. Just because someones drags out a messy crazy relationship doesn't necessarily mean it's because of love in my opinion.

Experience and learning from the mistakes we did plus child( ren) make us wiser ...

Do you mean in the way of taking the exes back now that he's or she's matured and share some practical things together?
