Gramps looked at rands face,understanding they didn't talk about the night carla had been in the accident. Gramps patted his son on the shoulder."We better get on home,miss guthrie is hellfire if I'm late for lunch." Rand smirked"Soooo your sweet on her huh? Rand teased." Boy ya ain't so big I can't still whip ya!" Gramps replied ginning. " tommorow's sunday,you and the kids wanna come to the house for dinner" ? " what's on the menu?"rands stomach growled at the thought of food."I don't know for sure,she cooks a mean fried chicken though..about 1 o clock sound good?" Gramps shouted above the sudden downpour as they both ran for their trucks,rand waving his approval. Man ! Rand thought to himself.He hadn't seen it storm like this since the nite carla died. Poor matty was 3 ,storms like this always seemed to be bad news.
