You were swimming when an octopus jumped on your face. Your friends laughed out loud. You tried to remove it but it clung on extra tight. Then it said: "Human!!! Choose number! 1 to 6! Now!" Your mind was filled with possible options of supernatural abilities. Which one would you rather pick?
Desperate, you said the number as your friends were roaring even more with laughter. Then the octopus spurted a large amount of mystical slimy ink in your mouth. Your friends roasted you thinking it was a mating ritual.
The octopus then said: "Finally! Free! Farewell human!". The shameless octopus let go before diving into the sea. You coughed but the liquid slid down your throat. An intense chill came over you before a powerful shock rendered you unconscious. You woke up in a hospital bed, your friends worried about you.
After a few days you noticed subtle changes within yourself and became spontaneously aware of your freshly acquired power.
