What can I (27F) do to stop my family from talking about my husband's (43M) money all the time? (by Sparky)
What can I (27F) do to stop my family from talking about my husband's (43M) money all the time?
My (27F) relationship with my family was never that good but I always try to be on good terms with them but now to be honest I'm getting tired. They only care about my husband's (43M) money and I don't like that. My mom has asked me multiple times how much money will I get if I divorce my husband and that's horrible, we've been together for seven years and we have three children, a 2 year old boy and 4 month old twin girls and of course we have no plans to divorce because we love each other and we love our little family.
My dad and my brother thinks otherwise, they want me to act as the perfect wife because they don't want us to get divorced because in some way they have access to my husband's money I mean he has helped them on many occasions by lending them money that they never returned by the way. My mom even asked me how much money my husband is losing in his business now that the virus is forcing us to stay home to protect the health of our children. To be honest all their "jokes" and questions about my husband's money make me feel uncomfortable and sometimes I want to cut off contact with them but other times I want my children to have contact with their grandparents, I was not lucky enough to meet my grandparents and I want them to understand that they have to change their attitude, would it be very extreme if I ask them to go to family counseling or something like that?
